Quantity takeoffs and bid support for small contractors
Send your drawings and specifications. Get back an organized quantity takeoff, so you can put a real number on your bid instead of guessing.
Most small contractors and remodelers lose hours on takeoffs before they even know if a job is worth bidding on. StructConsultPro reads the plans, organizes the quantities by item and area, and hands you a clean deliverable you can drop straight into your estimate.
Who this is for
Small and mid-size general contractors, remodelers, and builders in Florida who need a takeoff done quickly, without keeping estimating staff on payroll for every bid.
How it works
Five steps, the same documented process every time.
Upload drawings and specifications
Send the plan set and specs for the scope you need quantified.
Review and organization
Drawings are reviewed, the scope is confirmed, and the file set is organized before anything is extracted.
Quantity takeoff
Quantities are extracted and classified by item and area.
Quality check
Every takeoff is checked before final review, so nothing goes out unchecked.
Delivery
You receive a structured takeoff as an Excel workbook, ready to use in your estimate.
Sample layout
What a takeoff looks like
Illustrative only: a fictional plan set with made-up quantities, not a client project. Real takeoffs follow this structure, delivered as an Excel workbook.
| Item | Location | Sheet | Qty | Unit | Note |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Slab on grade, 4 in. | Garage | S-101 | 7.4 | CY | Net, no waste added |
| Wood studs, 2x4 at 16 in. | Level 1 partitions | A-101 | 186 | LF of wall | Wall type W1 |
| Drywall, 1/2 in. regular | Level 1 interior walls | A-201 | 1,840 | SF | Both faces where shown |
| Drywall, 5/8 in. Type X | Garage separation wall | A-201 | 312 | SF | Wall type W3 |
| Interior door, 2'8" x 6'8" | Level 1 | A-601 | 9 | EA | Per door schedule |
| Baseboard | Level 1 | A-101 | 420 | LF | Openings deducted |
Anything unclear in the drawings is listed as a question for you, not guessed. Waste factors, pricing and markup stay with you.
Trust and process
One documented process. One human review.
Here is how every takeoff is handled, from the first review to delivery.
- Review
- Every takeoff is checked and reviewed before delivery, following the five-step process above.
- Scope
- Reading and quantifying what is drawn. Not engineering judgment, not a structural calculation, not a substitute for a licensed engineer's seal where one is required.
- Your data
- Your project details and files are used to prepare your quantity takeoff and to communicate with you about the request. We do not sell your information.
- Commitment
- Nothing starts until scope and cost are agreed with you, and submitting a request doesn't commit you to anything.
- Turnaround
- Confirmed after your drawings are reviewed, because it depends on the size and condition of the plan set.
Common questions
Yes, if they are PDF, image, or CAD files, for residential or commercial projects. Tell us the trades you need, for example concrete, framing, drywall or finishes, and the scope is confirmed after the plans are reviewed. Large plan sets are fine: share a Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive link instead of attaching. If anything is missing or unreadable, you'll hear about it before work starts.
Every takeoff is quality-checked and then reviewed by Vanessa before it reaches you. Anything unclear in the plans is raised with you instead of guessed at.
It depends on the size and condition of your plan set. You'll get a confirmed turnaround once your drawings are reviewed, before any work starts.
A structured quantity takeoff in an Excel workbook, organized by item and area, with the drawing sheets and revision it is based on, ready to drop into your estimate. See the sample layout.
Software still needs someone to set it up, learn it, read the plans and enter the data. Here there is no setup, no learning curve and no estimating workflow to maintain between bids: you send the plans for one project and receive organized quantities. If you already use Bluebeam, PlanSwift or another tool, the Excel takeoff can sit alongside your own workflow.
An estimator on staff costs more than a single bid needs. This is built for the project in front of you, with no ongoing commitment.
Vanessa Vieira, the founder, personally reviews every takeoff before it is delivered.
You'll be contacted directly before anything is finalized. Unclear drawings are never guessed at.

Vanessa Vieira holds a civil engineering degree from Brazil. Her education has been evaluated through the NCEES (National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying) credential process, and she is pursuing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam as part of the path to U.S. professional licensure.
She founded StructConsultPro to deliver, today, the construction support that does not require a professional engineer's seal, while she continues toward full licensure.
Background
Civil engineering graduate from Brazil, currently pursuing U.S. engineering licensure. Credentials evaluated through NCEES; the FE exam is part of that pathway.
How the company works
Technology first: a documented procedure for every takeoff, structured data, and AI used as a tool inside a human-reviewed process, never as a replacement for it. The focus is one service: quantity takeoffs.
Request a quantity takeoff
Tell us about the project and attach your drawings. Scope, timeline, and cost are confirmed with you before any work starts, so sending this doesn't commit you to anything.
